However, the Lamassu's own strength is limited. They have brought to bear iron gallu from beneath the earth, but only his wisdom can save us.
This is was what the Lamassu, our lord, said:
For the men and woman both, muster from among them the most learned. They are to approach us where we reside in the western mesa and construct an edubba overlooking the valley. Here we will instruct them in the ways ... (illegible)

This is a clay tablet, describing the Lamassu's instructions to build a school during the war against the Udug.
