A'ansur

For the in-game Note called "A'ansur", see A'ansur (Note).

A'ansur is a holy place in Axiom Verge 2, described as the mother world to countless worlds, including Kiengir, Engur, and many others. It's commonly analogized as a tree, with the worlds being its branches. As such, these worlds cannot exist without A'ansur.

Story

Most denizens of Kiengir revered A'ansur as their mother, however, many others were proud skeptics. Mageshgetil and Elutil, later known as Amashilama, were both skeptics of their world. Not only did they hold suspicion for the ones they praised as their gods, but they had a firm belief that Kiengir was nothing more than a slave to A'ansur.[1] They felt that it was their duty to sever the worlds, to be free of A'ansur and keep it from dragging them into the depths.

During the events of the game, Amashilama tries to finish her plan to destroy A'ansur by using the Siuna, tools that had been previously locked away in A'ansur, but one remained in Kiengir. Indra has to defeat Amashilama before she can complete this, destroying the portal to A'ansur in the process, and severing any link she had with getting home. Afterwards, Indra seeks a way to get into A'ansur, employing Drushka's help, but not so much in an effort to get home; moreso in pursuit of the technology A'ansur holds.
