The exalted Lamassu, our lord, has given us the divine plans of the ancient kings. The blacksmiths have cast weapons of great terror, powered by the strength of the fire.
We may have built these for use against the fearsome Udug, but have only been able to test them on our enemies in neighboring Irikar. Still, I fear it is not long before Irikar, too, masters the forbidden knowledge, and then what? Will the Udug arrive to find us at each other's throats?
One wonders, then, what ... (tablet breaks off here)
