This note is a remark by the original Athetos toward [[Uruku]], one of his clones that he experimented on who is also one of the ingame bosses. One can also theorize from this note that Trace never left Earth during the lab explosion; rather, the [[Rusalki]] pulled his consciousness from his possibly dead body and transferred it to the body of an Athetos clone that they created in the [[Rebirth Chamber]].

There are 3 Journal Page Notes. All are purple notes, and written in English by an Athetos.

Journal Page (Xedur)

It calls itself Xedur. I don't know how I know this, but I do. Strange that such a thing would have language... stranger still that it would have a personal identity.

I am not sure how long I can last. I lose more and more each passing day. Sound is a deafening throb. Sight is a kaleidoscopic fire. Smell and taste open up entire worlds of terror. The worst is touch, a tingling, writhing, itching mass.

It is expanding, supplanting. There won't be anything to save when it's done.

About the Note

This note details the observations of one of Athetos' clones toward another clone, as well as his own gradual transformation into a Variant. It cannot have been written by the original Athetos since the original would have known that he was the one who genetically modified the clones.

Journal Page (Uruku)

We know that the mind, like Euclid's algorithm, is eternal, existing equally across all universes in which it appears. It can never perceive its own demise, rather, the instances which do not cease carry on for those that do. For most of us this happens without us being any the wiser.

But, what of Uruku? This is not so much death as a deadly, aberrant dementia. The algorithm itself is twisted, changing from one moment to the next. There is not any one point at which Athetos ends and Uruku begins, simply a continuum of torment.

Where I to die now, would I awaken, mercifully, as my former self, or as this amalgamation, forever seeing danger in every shadow?

About the Note

This note is a remark by the original Athetos toward Uruku, one of his clones that he experimented on who is also one of the ingame bosses. One can also theorize from this note that Trace never left Earth during the lab explosion; rather, the Rusalki pulled his consciousness from his possibly dead body and transferred it to the body of an Athetos clone that they created in the Rebirth Chamber.

Journal Page (Breach Pockets)

I've hidden some of our more sensitive items in the breach pockets appearing here and there. The Rusalki won't go in; it interferes with their electronics.
