It was cut because the concept of glitching enemies to use as platforms ended up being more interesting.{{cite|a=7|q=We've also included some unused creatures in here. I had floating creatures that could be used as platforms, called "Streeg", which I ultimately felt worked against having the glitch ray be able to create platforms from creatures later in the game.}}
 
Incidentally, it also looks a lot like the [http://metalslug.wikia.com/wiki/Martians Martians] from Metal Slug.

Description

The Streeg[1][2] cannot be encountered in the game, but all the data and graphics are present. There are two placed far outside the playable area in Eribu, and one similarly unreachable in Absu.

It is completely impervious to all weapons and all 3 address disruptor strengths. It's head is solid, and can be ridden on. This is similar to the properties of the Annihiwaiter.
