Description

The Gill[1][2] (aka Laser Urchin[3]) is a small purple creature that slides along any solid surface it's attached to. It has a pulsing red dot on the top-center of its body.

When Trace approaches, the Gill fires a red laser beam that does 75 damage to Trace but doesn't harm other creatures. In large groups they can create a dangerous gauntlet.

When a Gill turns a corner while firing, the laser doesn't instantly snap to the enemy — instead it swivels 90 degrees and can hit Trace even if he isn't horizontally or vertically aligned with the enemy.

Corrupted Form

When corrupted, the Gill becomes intangible, harmless, and can no longer be destroyed.

The laser they fire turns from red to cyan and becomes harmless to Trace, but will deal 100 damage to enemies, even to other uncorrupted Gills.

Additionally, the laser will destroy the strongest destructible blocks that can only be destroyed by the Red Coat or by corrupted pink Loop Diatoms, corrupted Spirus, corrupted Gluggs or corrupted Jorms.
