== Description ==
Initially only it's beak/mandible is visible, protruding from the wall, opening and closing. When Trace gets level with it, it launches itself out making a screeching noise. It only moves horizontally, and continues until it reaches another wall, embedding itself into it. If Trace remains on it's level, it will continue constantly attacking back and forth.

It has two large, curved mandibles. It's body has spines down it's length, and a violet orb/eye in the center. It's tail is almost as long as the rest of it.

Some '''Scissorbeaks''' are completely obscured by foreground scenery. They can be detected by a faint intermittent rumbling/crunching noise they emit while stationary.

It can be attacked from above or below while embedded in the wall by shooting at the protruding part.

When corrupted, '''Scissorbeaks''' leave a trail of blocks behind. The '''Cyan Scissorbeak''' is unique in that it is the only enemy in the game with two different corruption behaviors.

Most Cyan Scissorbeaks will leave a line of [[Laser Drill|drillable/destroyable]] rock.

However, Cyan Scissorbeaks found in the upper-west portion of [[Eribu]] will leave behind a solid neon green trail of destroyable blocks.

[[Trace]] enters Kur through its underground caverns and ascends to the forested surface mountain slopes, eventually reaching even greater heights of ice crags in the mountains, where snowfall occurs. At higher elevations, the effect of the [[Breach]] can be seen in the upper atmosphere.

It is an organic cavernous area filled with green and turquoise rocks which eventually ascends to the surface of [[Sudra]]. There are also signs of industrialization in this area, as a strange series of translucent pipes can be seen moving liquid in the lower regions. The [[Rusalki]] [[Daraga]] and [[Ophelia]] are located in the upper area, [[Elsenova]] arrives later as well. Shortly after arriving at Ukkin-Na, a [[pathogen]] begins affecting Trace and he begins hallucinating. Most of the enemies he encounters during this time are never seen after this segment of the game. The enemy section below reflects the enemy encounters during, then after the hallucinations.

The center of the explorable surface of [[Sudra]] is Edin, a mysterious garden-like area set under a starry sky. The crumbling ruins of ancient [[Sudran (Race)|Sudran]] architecture are present throughout this area. After acquiring the [[Trenchcoat]] in [[Ukkin-Na]], [[Trace]] can explore most areas of Edin, finding the [[Upgrades]] he needs to get almost everywhere here while traveling through. Near the exit to [[Indi]], there's a large hangar that houses [[Rusalki]] bodies. In the room where [[Ukhu]] is fought, the effects of the [[Breach]] can be seen in the sky, just like the highest areas of [[Kur]].
